I am a former division 1 basketball player from Stanford University. I met Graham after my senior season when he came to work with the team. I was recovering from hip surgeries and training to play overseas. I connected with Graham's philosophy right away. He didn't have his book done yet, but we started a relationship. I decided not to play professionally due to my hips, and went out into the working world. Graham and I reconnected 2 years later when he was finishing his book. When I read the manuscript, I wanted to know how I could help him. I have spent my life concerned with how to get to a peak performance level. I was always looking for an edge and this playbook was the guide I was looking for.1 year later, I have joined Graham and I can't believe how far I have come due to the principles Graham has distilled over his 11 years working with athletes. This book has changed my life and I know if you have the courage to run the plays and follow the playbook as Graham has laid out, you can find success as well.I believe so strongly in this book and this philosophy that I have adopted it as my own.

Graham has really captured a sport to life connection in a simple yet powerful mental skills training playbook. I am a current Sport Psychology Graduate Student and have found this book to be more valuable than anything I have been taught in classes so far. It is a very easy read and I feel like every sentence provides value. The plays can be tailored to any sport or just life in general. Through this book I have been able to increase my confidence, focus, and awareness. I now truly understand that the greatest competition is myself and what I can control in my life.In my free time I study qualities of mental greatness within elite athletes and Graham's philosophy completely resonates with elite mental performance. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to further discover more about themselves as a person, improve mental toughness in competition, and relentlessly compete with themselves to become better everyday.

This workbook is an excellent analysis of not just basketball but sports in general. Its a quick reminder for coaches and players that we cannot control every aspect of the game, but we do have the ability to control aspects of our own game. It provides a step by step way guide on how best to be mentally prepared to control what we can control when we play or coach. Many of these skills are transferable to other aspects of life
