The author does her subject of lesbian BDSM a disservice with this superficial, although erotic, story. The subject, with more effort, could be richly enhanced rather than limply ignored as Ms. Oliver does. The development of Cassidy's and Peach's D/s roles and relationship is sorely enhanced by a lack of using Cassidy's voice to evaluate what is happening to her and her lover at the hands of the two dykes with Cassidy as the submissive and Peach's involvement. Also, the change in roles with Peach's submission to the B and B owner, or Cassidy becoming the Dominant in her relationship with the daughter. And then the D/s role reversal at the end of the book. All of this could and should have been explored by the author to enrich the reader's appreciation of lesbian D/s relationships and the role of BDSM within the lesbian community. Either Oliver does not understand these relationships, D/s 's don't reverse themselves with out some emotional or relationship crisis, or she was simply writing some erotica for sale to a publisher. Overall, I was sorely disappointed with the story as told by Oliver.

This book should be printed on asbestos, not paper. From the very beginning, it had me glued to it, engrossed as the two women became enmeshed in a web of lesbian S&M and rituals. I can only pray that some day my own erotica will be this intense.
