This was another excellent read in this series. The Karp family is still riven by the adventures of the previous book, but must work together against a new threat. I found the personal character development to be more than ever before the central aspect of the book. And the action and plot were a bit outside the usual range of my suspension of disbelief.... But it was absolutely a page turner, just like the others... Lucy is more central to this adventure than ever, and it is terrible to see her endangered! Felix Tighe is the worst villain created in the entire series, and it is terrifying to see him target Lucy.

This is the second Karp book I have read and if it's not up to the first (the first of the series) it is still good, entertaining reading. As with his first installment in the series the author keeps your interest up through a lot of plot twists and turns. I like books that push the edge (intricate serial killers, semi-super private eyes etc) without quite going over. This book does that. A pedantic terrorist, a crazed/possessed serial killer, a courtroom giant, they all all here. I liked the plot and the characters, except for Karp's wife. She can go sell crazy somewhere else, I got tired of her. I'll keep enjoying the series.

Robert K Tanenbaum is an attorney by trade and is a great storyteller as well. This legal thriller is easy to read and hard to put down.

It's classic Tanenbaum. Butch, Marlene, Lucy, the twins and Guma are like old family friends at this point. Even if you don't love this book you will be hooked to read the series. The author intertwines current events, master mind evil and Butch & Marlene will ride in and save the day because good always wins out over evil. This is one of my favorite thriller authors. Lighter than Grisham with the occasional humor of Robert Parker and always a treat to read.

Tanenbaum is one of the finest writers of legal and criminal novels - - - enticing for anyreader wanting a total realistic story that is most difficult to put down. He is in my opinion the leading writer of today's great stories.Stories that can be read and read again !!!!!
