First, we all have our own ideas of what great meals are and what makes for a romantic evening. The first thing about this book is the cover shows rose petals around a a white candle. I have never thought of doing that and I have to admit I will be doing this soon. There are 31 recipes in all. Since I cook, I am always looking for ideas, and while some of this does not come naturally to my mind for what I would normally prepare for a romantic evening, it is an interesting way to look at a range of dishes and think about what would work best for us. I have a few of the main course, pasta, salads and desert recipes all ready picked out. Creamy Salmon Filet, Filet Tenderloin Beef with Shoestring Potatoes, Pasta and Shrimp with Baby Spinach and Cherry Tomatoes, nice combinations.White Peach and Asparagus with Hazelnut Oil (ok I have to pick that up special, but it will be for a Romantic Evening) and another for Lime Juice. Avocado with Grape Tomatoes, lettuce and Hard-Boiled egg, Some simple and nice combinations. I have been looking for some ideas since we love avocado.Deserts include a Raspberry and Lemon Sorbet with Mint Leaves, now I have wanted to make a sorbet and I know from experience fresh mint leaves will present this beautifully. Chocolate with Strawberries and Coconut Milk? I already know I am going to play with this. Baked Mixed Berries with Nutmeg and Ground Cinnamon, I am heading for my grater and will not be using supermarket jarred pre-ground.So, while there are a few recipes I would not think are to our tastes (But many of them are to mine), the ones mentioned above and several others will be used for us and and upcoming dinner for two friends and the wife is a fabulous cook.So having some new ideas and with each recipe being two Kindle screens with ingredients and clearly numbered directions, these are straight forward and with ingredients I often cook with. Each recipe tells me prep time, cook time and that it will be ready in X minutes and as anticipated will be two servings, obviously expanded with more guests. While these are clear for me, since I cook a range of things, I would easily recommend this for others who would like to pick out a meal and feel confident they can follow simple directions and be as experimenting as they want to be for quite a few meals, including several romantic ones.

Recipes are nothing special. Overall, I was unimpressed. I expected something more romantic than steaks, spaghetti, and salads. Not a terrible book, not a great book.

This ebook contains some nice suggestions of meals for romantic dinners. There were no pictures except for the one on the cover of the ebook. Perhaps because I an not a romantic, I don't consider this ebook an ultimate guide but it does contain some nice suggestions.

ok, but the recipes weren't what I was looking for nor did they seem to special for the holiday. would have liked to see not so much elaborate recipes, but elegant

Nice recipes! Especially for Valentines Day, birthdays, anniversaries, or other special occasions. I definitely look forward to trying some of these soon.
