    Book details

Although Lilith, an astrological point, has been known to astrology since the early 1700s, it is only now that Lilith has been put into a workable perspective, useful in chart delineation. This comprehensive book begins with Lilith's astronomical history and legends as a reference point for its influence in the chart. Delphine Jay then goes on to give complete delineations of Lilith through each sign, house and aspect, all of which are based upon her extensive research and experience. Numerous examples illustrate Lilith's meaning and influence in the chart. Also included is a chapter on the delineation of Lilith in return charting by house position. About Interpreting Lilith, astrologer Michael Munkasey writes:When Delphine first presented me with the work she was doing on Lilith, I was quite skeptical that such an effect could exist. . . . I quickly became a convert! Since then I have tried Lilith in many different ways, and have found that it consistently works, and in the way it has been described that it should work!

As 'Lilith' refers astronomically to an asteroid, the title of this book about the 'black moon' is a misnomer.IF the reader is a believer in 'new age' theosophist reincarnationism within the cultural framework of the USofA AND restricts astrology to human psychology, this book may be of some usefulness. Even within these parameters, the book is out of date, not including a discussion on mean and various 'true' positions of the black moon. The basic delineations in the book are too verbose for practical use.The authoress limited her book entirely to psychological considerations of human natal astrology. Horary, electional, medical and mundane astrology received no attention. Predictive astrology is ignored. The number of charts analysed and presented is largely insufficient for purposes of statistical relevance.Fortunately, astrologers have begun to re-discover their traditional heritage towards the end of the 20th century and may thus exit the '12th house' trap of reincarnationism. The Black Moon may well have validity as an astrological symbol. To ascertain, understand and adequately describe such a validity another approach than that of Ms Jay would be requisite.

The dark moon Lilith (rather than the asteroid or "black moon" by the same name) is one of the most important subjects in astrology. I have put it into over thirty thousand charts and readings and in my opinion it is the most powerful significator in the astrology chart. Most astrologers don't know about Lilith and many think it is fantasy. It is real. A dark moon of earth five hundred miles in diameter, like a dust cloud, but, in a sense, even more like a black hole, it bestows great power, wisdom, and effectiveness when used properly, but great pain and confusion when not. Named after the first wife of Adam in the Talmudic legends, it must be used objectively, creatively, and for universal good, not subjectively, uncreatively, and selfishly, or it will drive you crazy. This book has revolutionized my 35-year fulltime astrology practice. It has helped increase my accuracy tremendously. If you are an astrologer, I recommend you study this book, the only truly accurate book about the dark moon Lilith, and use Lilith in your practice. Delphine Jay is a brilliant writer, astrologer, and thinker. She has revealed Lilith as well as anyone can. If you are a non-astrologer interested in knowing yourself much better, find out where your dark moon Lilith is in your astrology chart (the Kepler program calls this the Jacobson Lilith) and you will benefit enormously. Sadly, this book is not for the average layman as much as the experienced astrologer; but the average intelligent layman can benefit from it enormously. Thank you, Delphine Jay, for a masterpiece which has helped me become a better astrologer, and understand life much more deeply. One day the world will know about Lilith.

Good info for disseminating Lilith in the birthchart.

This text says way too much about a relatively small topic. A concise evaluation of each position by house, sign and aspect would be far superior to the multi-page diagnostic that ends up giving a lot of questionable information which in the end obscures the core meaning. When you are reading a chart you are seeking to incorporate each point, planet or asteroid into the energetic whole. You want a good basic idea of the meaning of each part. This book takes the meaning of each placement way too far. While I can see the inversion of certain sign/house related traits in my clients, the book goes on to extrapolate far too much about what those traits produce in terms of interactions and self evaluation. Often I'd get to the end of a chapter that started out on target, saying no, no, no,..nothing like the client.

I bought this book because I thought that it would pay off in the sense that I would get to know more about Lilith aside from what I already have, data that I have accumulated in the past years; but unfortunately, this book is nothing but filler. Nothing good for someone that is straightforward & to the point like me. Waste of 20 bucks. No offense towards the author, but NO for me.

There isn't much info out there on Lilith so I tend to buy what I find. This book has lots of Lilith info on sign and house. More than I've seen in other books I own.I've had to highlight the bare-bones for myself so I can add that to chart interpretations I do for people asthey don't need or want the abundance of info included in this great little book. This book also has Lilith aspects to the planets, solstice point, directions, dignity andLilith in return charting, and her aspects in return charting (to the houses). You will enjoy sitting back and reading up on Lilith in this book by D.G.Jay.
