This was a very good read. Although the book is written more than 110 years ago, the author made sure to include accurate reports. It may be surprising to find out the Indians were not the abused society that we think they are but they were taken advantage of in a terrible way. This is a gruesome tale and they way the murders of many people and the suffering they endured is told will get to you. I felt I gained a great deal of knowledge about this time in history.
