I loved reading this book, and did so in just two days. ( I already have bought the one that follows it.) If I didnt already have the perfect husband I would want a guy just like Irish!! If you are tired of the old fashion love story and are ready to read something that will genuinely spark your interest, then this book is for you! I will admit to wanting to smack Jurnee upside the head several times but the author did warn us that she was sheltered and naive. That held true although it was refreshing to watch the lights go on for her as the story progressed. I can't wait to read the next book!

I started this book yesterday and finished it this morning. A great read, captivating. My eyes are so tired that I can hardly see to write this review! Time just flew by. I totally recommend this well written book. I felt like I knew the characters and i didn't want their story to end.

I Made You My First catches your attention from the very first page!! The story of Irish and Jurnee keeps you wanting more and more! With each page you can't help but wonder what will happen next!! I highly recommend rushing out to buy this book immediately! :)

Once again a wonderful book by an incredible author. I became very well acquainted with a cold shower while reading this. I know from now on I will never ever look at airports the same way after this ;)

The beginning chapter in this book reminded me of an actual situation that happened to me when I was in my thirty's. It was at a fair, not the airport, but things like this really happen. From a guys point of view I felt as if Irish was walking on pins and needles, scared s***-less that he was going to get busted any minute. I was cheering him on the whole way through the book. It was cool that he was so sure that she was "the one." It sure be awesome if that's how it always worked out. It wasn't a bad book for a chick book. I've already read the sequel and that was over the top hot.

Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. I kept waiting for one of the characters to screw up this relationship but when I realized that their love and romance was to stay it made for such a sweet story. Nice to see a happy ending. Good work Ciara. Can't wait for the next one!

What a great title and a cute couple on the cover. I read this book in two sittings as I had to force myself to put it down one night to go to bed for work the next day. The main characters are Jurnee and Irish. Jurnee was a great daughter who became a carer (?) for her aunt after she graduated from college. When she went on a break to visit her best friend she meet Irish. Throughout the book--almost to the end you are never sure if Irish is a great catch or a volcano waiting to explode. What kind of family do they both have--are they loving or ambivalent? You really have to read this book--I don't normally read romances but this one was really great--and steamy in a couple places, really steamy. The book is well written and carries you along as you are viewing the life of your best friend. So--how does it end up, are they married, are they alive, how do their lives end up? Again--you really have to read this book--you won't want to put it down

4.0 out of 5 stars 14 May 2013By jillipen (Emilia Romagna Italy) - See all my reviewsThis review is from: I Made You My First (Kindle Edition)I enjoyed this book, a chick-lit romantic novel with a bit of sex thrown in. It's an easy read, the characters are likable and it kept me interested, I read it in two days. The author asked me to give a critical review and I do have a couple of nitpicks. Firstly, for the story to flow it has to be believable and I didn't like the flat tyre scenario. Most women don't need a man to change a wheel, and if they did he wouldn't need to take it to a garage for two days, I think this part of the story would work better if it were brake failure or engine trouble, but that's just my opinion. There are certain clichés in writing that we are told to never use, the top two are `scrubbed pine table' and `overstuffed armchairs' the author had an overstuffed armchair and an overstuffed sofa in the same chapter, it would read much better if the furniture was just, well.. furniture. I liked this book and would be happy to purchase other titles by this author. The diary of a single parent abroad
