You need the teacher's supplement books. This is a wonderful series that glorifies God and remains true to science.

First, I'd like to clarify this product description. It DOES include the student supplement CD, although it is not listed and when I contacted Amazon they said it was not included. As far as the product itself goes, I have mixed feelings. I borrowed the God's Design for Life series from a friend and decided to order it for my kids. I liked the content and especially liked that the student texts contained everything - lab/experiment info, worksheets, quizzes. But that was the 2006 edition. While this new 2009 version has color pictures (2006 was B&W), they've removed the complete lab info, worksheets and quizzes. You now must spend an additional $30 to purchase the supplement to be able to do all the reinforcement activites. It supposedly has some other resources and info listed, but I would much rather have had the necessities included in the student books and saved myself an additional $30. I'm really not pleased with the new layout of the series, and think it's the publisher's way of trying to soak up more money. I'd have been much happier if I could have ordered the 2006 edition and not had to purchase this book.

I was disappointed. I love this curriculum series, but the little bit that you get with this teacher supplement ought to be included in the actual student books. This was a waste of $ to me.

While the God's Design for Life series can be used with public or private school students, it's an ideal complete life science curriculum for homeschool students from grades one through eight. As a busy homeschool mom and author, I need a curriculum that requires minimal preparation, but one that will retain my children's interest throughout the year. With five active children (three of them boys), I also prefer lots of hands-on activities and experiments. Finally, and most importantly, we require a curriculum with a Biblical worldview that develops critical thinking skills in our children so that they not only know the answer, but they understand the answer from a Biblical point of view and will be able to defend their position. God's Design for Life has all of these components. For me, there is a Teacher Supplement and CD-Rom. The Teacher Supplement has a supply list for each lesson, answers to the questions in each lesson, field trip ideas, resource suggestions, etc. The CD includes quizzes, tests and supplemental worksheets.God's Design for Life series has everything you could possibly want in a life science curriculum! I enjoy the easy-to-follow layout; the children love the books and my only problem seems to be reminding my children that we can't do ten lessons each day! While the products do add up in cost, for one of the best products of this nature on the market, I'd say the curriculum is well worth the price, especially when compared to other curricula.Sonya Haskins[...]

I use this entire series and love it. When we have time we will add to it, but it is enough to teach everything needed. It doesn't keep repeating itself like AIG does (although we use this sometimes as well). This curriculum is easy to use if you have multiple children because it splits up the assignments per level. I recommend this series, it is one of our favorites. The teacher supplement is simple. It has answers and a CD with worksheets, but it is not a "teaching" supplement.

I ordered the whole 3rd edition set from Answers in Genesis. My 6th grader loves all the color pictures to go with the reading, & the hands on projects are fun. I especially like that the worksheets and quizzes are on CD-ROM so you can print out however many you need & don't have to buy several copies of workbooks for each child. There is a "master supply list" for the projects in the back of the teachers suppliments. I carted all the books to a homeschool support group meeting for "show and tell", everyone loved them. Several families ordered their own sets. You can view samples of these books at the Answers in Genesis website. [...]

Typical creationist lies, wrapped up and marketed quite well to deceive the scientifically illiterate home schooling parents. Save your money and your children. Buy a "real" science book.DJ
