eh, had to get it for school. It is comprehensive but difficult to find because drugs have so many names. Most if not all of the time, patients know more about their meds and how they are affected than what I can find in the book assuming I can even find the medication.

Amazing Book that I use every day as a licensed massage therapist when I have clients come in that have medications but I am unsure of! I have recommended this book to every single massage therapist student I have had come through our clinic and would definitely recommend it to anyone who would like a little bit more information on any of the Contra indications that come along with medications in regards to having any sort of massage therapy or therapeutic modality performed on them

This book is well worth the weight (it is a little heavy!). It is concise, and full of information; namely, drugs listed by name, as well as generic (in the index), and for each drug: explanation of the drug's effect on the body, as well as the drug's peak effect and duration in the body, possible side effects, diseases and conditions the drug treats, and massage considerations. This book is user-friendly and has a considerable amount of information at your finger tips. This is especially useful in a medical or hospital setting, as well as a spa setting.I would recommend this book to all massage therapists, as there are several contraindications for massage in certain conditions and with certain drugs.

As healers we do not like to see anyone taking very many meds but the unfortunate reality is that many people are on several medications. This book is a must have for any therapist and the perfect quick reference; it even has what specific techniques should be avoided when people are taking particular meds.

This book has already proven its value with my first client with specific information on how to prepare their massage according to their meds.It was recommended to me by an instructor of massage therapy and now I recommend it to any of you who want to give safe and effective massage sessions to your clients.

The information provided in this book is clear and easy to look up and understand. Very useful! I recommend it not only to massage therapist but to anyone interested in the affects of medications.
