The log-book of The Daughters of the American Revolution lists JohnJames Trabue and Olympia Dupuy as direct ancestors of my father whowas also a great-great-greatgrandson of John Suggett. John Suggett was one of the one hundred fourteenyoung men who signed and posted The Leedstown Resolves in 1766one of the firstprotests against the Stamp Act..While I do not worship dead ancestors nor do I assume I have thecourage of the early colonists, I do enjoy reading first-person accountsof history's finest hours. When direct-line relatives are involved theevents are brought even closer. This book provides such an experience.I believe anyone who loves history would find Colonial Men and Timeshard to put down.In looking for a volime to buy I found it offered at only one other online site...but the price was a little more than DOUBLE what Amazon charged!
