I mean howdo you truly explain a subject like coaching and mentoring? This book did a decent job explaining to some extent, but I had to supplement it with other coaching books to fully understand.

I needed this book for a class and not only is it a good book, it arrived as expected in great condition.

This book is okay. The chapters went straight to the topic at hand and I like that about the book.

Great concepts but an extremely poorly written book.

Very good used product that helped me get an A in this coaching class that gave me my Associate's Degree.

The Second Edition of Coaching and Mentoring at Work represents a further refinement of the original version of this outstanding publication. The book offers practical guidance on developing effective practice as a coach and mentor with detailed information about of the use of The Skilled Helper model and interactive case studies. The restructured format is both logical and stimulating with excellent new sections covering the development of reflective practice and frequently asked questions which explore some of the common practical and ethical issues around being a coach or mentor. The main strength of this book is that it provides a sound, realistic approach to coaching and mentoring distilled from the authors' many years of experience in the practice of coaching and mentoring and in the delivery of training for individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds. The expertise of the authors is clear from the illustrative examples given and this book is a valuable resource for those who are either new to the subject or who are already familiar with coaching and mentoring practice. Coaching and Mentoring at Work will also serve as an indispensable reference for more experienced practitioners who will value the opportunity to revise, reflect and further develop their skills. This publication clearly reflects the values, wisdom and ethos of the authors and is both accessible and enjoyable to read. It has certainly helped enormously in my own development as a mentor and will be an important source of information and support for years to come.In summary, Coaching and Mentoring at Work should be regarded as essential reading for anyone with an interest or involvement in coaching and mentoring or who wishes to develop a coaching and mentoring culture within their organisation.
