    Book details

Everyone has a dream for a better life. For millions, that dream is no more complex than surviving until tomorrow—dodging bullets and bombs while foraging for food and shelter.

Those of us who live in less volatile environments can pursue larger dreams, but many choose not to do so. Instead, we spend our days focused on the negative. And when we only see the negative, that’s all we know and experience.

Pat Carr, author of All Dreams Matter, offers a better way. Combining scripture and science, the motivational speaker reveals a simple but powerful truth: we create our own destiny. Those who choose to change their minds—to actively focus on their dreams—inevitably change their lives.

Free yourself from the delusion that only the smartest, the most talented, and the luckiest among us attain success. Instead, embrace the truth: the choices we make create our destinies.

We’ve been blessed with the God-given capacity to dream the life we want, to refine our thoughts and renew our minds, and therefore change our fates. Carr offers access to this powerful gift. Use it—and change your world.

I met the author, Pat Carr, at the Toastmaster International Convention in DC in late August 2016. I was immensely impressed by her elegance and etiquette. Reading her recently published book, "All dreams matter," I have had a better and deeper understanding of her life, her passion, her faith and most of all, her dream. The book is a collection of her life stories, business dealings, family tragedy, and soul discovery. Pat weaved all these elements together and presented an easy to following, enjoyable to read book. I like her "Dream" book from three aspects:First of all, the book is very personal, very powerful and every thoughtful. As Pat said, she didn't receive doctorate education, and she is a self-made business woman, a mentor and a certified image consultant. Her stories (Ms. Johnson, a money poor but spirit rich lady, Ellen, an art connoisseur, Lewis, a hard working millionaire, and many more) happen to each of us' own lives. Pat masterfully drew meaningful lesson of life from these stories, and relate to the readers seamlessly.Second, Pat has used quotes and her own observation of life throughout the book. I like a few most: not being famous doesn't mean not important (P. 26), get up, dress up, show up and never give up (P. 3), we judge ourselves by our intentions while we judge others by their actions (P. 110), among many other invaluable life tips. Pat gave us some many thought provoking quotes, as she firmly believe in them herself. I truly treasure the meaningfulness of her book.Lastly, Pat spoke from her heart. She last chapter, "Gloria, Mentee" is a home run. Pat consummated all her life lessons and value, and instilled to Gloria, a rejuvenated young soul, to thrive and return to normalcy. I met Gloria in person as well. I truly believes in the power of words in this "Dream" book.If there is anything Pat can re-think about making her book better, she used dream, success, science and scripture, all of which are highly complicated or spiritual. The book uses many quotes that can be trimmed down a bit. She may think of tighten up her book a bit, as she can position her book as a personal journey to be a better self, a happier self and a spiritually richer self.I give this book a Five Star!Mike, Distinguished Toastmaster

I sat down to read this book just before bed, thinking I'd read a little and then read more the following day. As it turned out, I stayed up until well after 1 a.m. to finish it - I simply couldn't put it down. In simple, yet eloquent language, Pat Carr challenges us all to dream big and believe in ourselves. She provides thought-provoking quotes and stories from her own life that encouraged me to think outside of the box I'd put myself in, and aim for more. If you're looking for a highly motivating but easy, quick read - I urge you to read this book. I plan to re-read it again very soon, and I suspect it will be a book I go back to time and time again.

Pat Carr has written a testament of the values reflected in a deep relationship with God and the Universe. She guides the reader to an awareness that self esteem is a gift given to oneself that is chosen. It is about how you choose to "show up" in your physical & spiritual life. Thanks to Pat for sharing her dreams. JH

I’ve met the author on numerous occasions and I can tell you that every time I see her she looks like a million dollars. She’s a very positive force and practices what she preaches, “You can change your life when you change your clothes.”
